Product Description
On May 2, 1519 Leonardo da Vinci, the greatest genius of all time, died.
Revell honors the artist, anatomist and engineer with a selection of kits of his greatest inventions.
The elaborate models made of the authentic wood material are partly movable and enable the pioneering ideas of Leonardos to come very close.
With his aircraft, Leonardo wanted to construct a machine that would make it possible to fly like a bird. His study anticipated the ideas that we still find today with modern hang gliders
Seen as a technological marvel of its era, Leonardo's "Great Crossbow" imagined a device 23 metres long and 24 metres wide, designed as much to cause panic among its enemies as for use as a siege weapon!
Revell's detailed 1:100 scale model is made primarily of laser-cut wood and also includes yarn for the bow string, plus PVA wood glue for assembly (May need replenishing).
Once complete, function can be traced through the moveable slide and turning wheels.
Additionally, a display stand, booklet on the Giant Crossbow and reproduction poster of Leonardo's original design and self-portrait is included.
